CAPABILITY, PROFILING and PSYCHOMETRIC ASSESSMENT

The Australian Leadership Academy offers a range of capability, profiling and psychometric assessment instruments along with a considered and effective approach to the application of these tools. Our aim is to provide leaders with a deeper awareness of themselves through the skilled interpretation and analysis of critical data and insights.

MLQ360 PLUS

The MLQ360 is the world’s most commonly used assessment to measure Transformational Leadership in the workplace.

It combines self-assessment and team or customer feedback to identify Transformational, Transactional, and Passive-Avoidant Leadership behaviours. Using the report provides leaders with practical, actionable, and behaviour-based insights to:

  • Build Trust

  • Inspire Purpose

  • Coach People

  • Lead with Integrity

  • Encourage Innovation

SHL Assessments

Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ32)

The SHL Occupational Personality Questionnaire, the OPQ32, is one of the most widely used and respected measures of workplace behavioural style in the world. Gain insights to improve each team member’s performance, and identify their strengths and development needs, both in their individual roles and for the company at large.

360 Degree Survey

Measure performance and potential with 360-degree feedback. SHL’s 360 measures individual past performance and future potential, using a unique combination of multi-rater feedback and personality assessments. 360 evaluations make sure essential input, data and clarity from peer review contribute meaningfully to important talent decisions.

Hogan Assessments

The Hogan suite of assessments measures the bright side of normal personality – qualities that describe how we relate to others when we are at our best (HPI), the dark side of personality - qualities that can disrupt relationships and derail our chances of success (HDS), and the inside of personality – what motives, values and interests determine what we desire and strive to attain (MVPI).

  • Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI).

  • Hogan Development Survey (HDS).

  • Hogan Motives, Values, Preferences (MVPI).

  • Hogan 360 Assessment. A measure of reputation by comparing self-assigned ratings against those from peers, managers, and direct reports.

Leadership Circle Profile

The Leadership Circle Profile is designed to accelerate leadership effectiveness beyond traditional competency-based approaches. It is the only 360-degree competency assessment that simultaneously provides focused competency feedback while revealing the underlying assumptions that are causing a leader’s pattern of strengths and limitations.

The Leadership Circle Profile helps leaders to understand the relationship between how they habitually think and behave and how this impacts their current level of leadership effectiveness.

Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT)

The Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT) measures emotional intelligence through an individual's abilities to perceive, use, understand, and manage emotional information.

  • Perceiving Emotions—the ability to correctly identify how people are feeling.

  • Using Emotions to facilitate thought—the ability to create emotions and to integrate your feelings into the way you think.

  • Understanding Emotions—the ability to understand the causes of emotions.

  • Managing Emotions—the ability to create effective strategies that use your emotions to help you achieve a goal, rather than being influenced by your emotions in unpredictable ways.

Human Synergistics Assessments

A 360 assessment tool for developing constructive behavioural styles in individuals, managers, leaders, teams, and organisations.

  • Life Styles Inventory (LSI) 1 & 2

  • Management Impact (M/I)

  • Leadership / Impact (LI)

Myers Briggs Type Indicator

MBTI is a versatile personality type assessment that can provide the foundations for a deep understanding of personal motivations and group interactions. It can be applied to both individuals and teams by describing personality through four opposing functions or dichotomies:

  • Extraversion vs. Introversion: How do you gain your energy?

  • Sensing vs. Intuition: How do you collect information?

  • Thinking vs. Feeling: How do you make decisions?

  • Judging vs. Perceiving: How do you organise your environment?
